Kettering University opened the doors of its Center for Fuel Cell Systems and Powertrain Integration in 2005. This impressive facility will leave you in sheer awe. The Center is one-of-a-kind in Michigan and is destined to be at the forefront of research centers worldwide.
This spacious facility reflects the magnitude of the effort and the vision that Kettering University has for fuel cell technology education and research.
Kettering University is not only investing substantial resources of its own, but is also actively pursuing funding through federal and state channels and seeking manufacturing/industry partners and foundation support. These tremendous alliances heighten the excitement about the prospects of the Center and encourage the collaboration that is necessary among all players to transform the concept of fuel cells to reality.
Lab Infrastructure

The lab is designed to provide an environment for research and development of fuel cell technology design and development including:
 |
| Hydrogenics, Model 1xSES-15 Hydrogen Generator |
|
Fuel Cell Testing Equipment from www.greenlightinnovation.com
The Center utilizes advanced PEM fuel cell test stations from supplier Greenlight Innovation. With Greenlight's reliable high-temperature PEM test stands, the Center is able to collect high accuracy data on HT-PEM fuel cell performance.
